Likely Lads . . .

Another great night of entertainment at the club last night. Members danced the night away to live music from The Likely Lads, a local duo who performed covers from 1960’s – 1980’s. As always our thanks go to Chris and her social team for all their work behind the scenes and to Peter & Billy behind the bar.

Take Your Partners By The Hand . . .

Saturday 31st August 2019 saw our first ever barn dance held at the club and what a roaring success it was!
Beautiful bunting decorated our function room, tables were laid with gingham tablecloths and lovely little flower displays welcomed our members and guests as they arrived. A wholesome ploughmans buffet was served half way through.
The room was filled with laughter and tears and people falling over or going the wrong way all night long.

Our next social event is  50’s 60’s 70’s Disco on Saturday 28th September 2019 at 19.30 please see our Social page for a full list of all our planned events.

Nothing is Real

NOTHING IS REAL entertained us at the club last night with an amazing evening of Beatles hits.

The generosity of our members and friends just astounds us with a total £1100 being raised for CHILDREN WITH CANCER FUND bringing our total for the year to just over £3000. Our thanks to David & Naomi for arranging the evening, Michelle for yet another fantastic buffet, to Chloe & Sue from CWCF who helped us sell raffle tickets, Billy & Peter behind the bar what a busy night they had and to all the other volunteers behind the scenes, without who these events would not happen.

Don’t forget our next event is our Spring Fayre & Open Morning Saturday 6th April 9.30 – 2pm

Afternoon Tea

Lovely Ladies Afternoon Tea at the club today, lots of chatter, laughter and fun as well as sandwiches, scones, cake and of course tea. Toss the Tea Bag, a Quiz all about Tea and an hilarious game of drawing a tea pot on a paper plate while it’s on your head kept us all amused.

A fantastic afternoon, hopefully the first of many. A huge thank you to Chris for all the organising and the beautiful tablecloths, thanks also to her helpers setting the tables with all the lovely china, the photos don’t do them justice, to Peter for the scrumptious scones and Michelle & Shannon for the sandwich’s and serving at our tables.
