Membership Information

We welcome people of all ages with an interest in playing bowls. You may be a new bowler to the game or an experienced bowler from another local club or area.

We would be really pleased to meet you and show you the facilities the club has to offer. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with us and have an opportunity to have a ‘taster’ session. Please click here to complete our membership enquiry form so that we can contact you to make arrangements to meet you and show you around.

Club Members

Our annual membership gives you plenty of opportunity to play in friendlies and club matches, home or away. There are also a variety of leagues and club competitions for you to take part in. Each season (winter and summer) our members’ book morning and afternoon rinks for friendly play, often finishing with something to eat and a drink from the bar. Rinks are available daily for making a booking a week in advance. You can also turn up and fill spaces to make a full team. We also have ‘Drives’ where club members come together to play on days where no other games are scheduled, which are always fun!

Coaching Sessions

We offer four initial coaching sessions with one of our experienced club coaches. Our Junior Coach and Centre Manager both hold a current Safeguarding Certificate to support our club policy to protect children and vulnerable adults.

Assisted Bowling

The sport of bowls can be played by almost anyone, with or without a disability. It is one of the most accessible and integrated sports readily available.

Here at Eastbourne and District Indoor Bowls Club we are proud to say we are committed to providing facilities for bowlers who need support to play our great game, this includes two designated level access parking spaces, level access to the main building, restaurant and bar. Equipment includes a stair lift to access the rink side, ramps to access the green, grab handles around the rinks and level access to a fully equipped disabled toilet. We have members who play using arm extenders, adapted walking sticks, bowl and jack lifters and a wheelchair.

If you are new to bowling our qualified Club Coaches will be happy to discuss your requirements and offer you a taster session with assistance from club volunteers if required. We can provide arm extenders, lifters, walking stick, all sizes of bowls and a bowling wheelchair to get you started. Whatever your needs please contact the Club by email email hidden; JavaScript is required or phone 01323 506009 for further information. You will be made very welcome in our inclusive Club.
